About the Event
Our September meeting will be in-person at the Animal Science Building on the MU campus. Member Mike Chippendale will give a historical presentation, The Buzz about Missouri Bees covering the remarkable diversity of our native bees, their life histories and behavior, and the essential pollination services they provide. Additionally, Paul Beuselinck will give a short presentation on the current challenges that commercial beekepping is facing.
Also, we will discuss some of the seasonal activities beekeepers could be doing in September. This will include evaluating your colony's general health and monitoring pest activities!
